REQUIRED FORMS FOR SUMMER DAY CAMP:
Summer Application, Certificate of Health Form, Orientation Meeting Form, and Emergency Contact Card, 1 clear photo of your child, Report Card, and Trip Permit Slip. Parents must attend the summer day camp orientation.

DAY CAMP ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
Camp days are Mondays to Fridays from 8:30 am to 5pm. The earliest a student is allowed into the center is 8:15 am. Pick up time is no later than 5:15pm. Multiple late pick-ups may lead to suspension or dismissal. Release forms must be signed for “Walk home alone” students.

CAMP T-SHIRTS AND OTHER CLOTHING
Each student will receive a camp T-shirt they are required to wear on trips. This facilitates our ability to monitor the whereabouts of each child at all times. We encourage students to wear sneakers and other closed toe rubber sole shoes. On breezy days, students should bring a sweater or warm shirt.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE & CONDITIONS
Parents who choose the session-by-session payment plan MUST pay in full, the session fee no later than the first day of the new session. There are 3 (2-week) sessions.

ADDITIONAL MONEY FOR SOME TRIPS
We will make every effort to minimize requests for additional fees for trips. However, there will be times when we will ask parents to share costs for select trips. Parents will receive advance notice. Summer transportation is free. There is an overall camp cost.

LATE ARRIVALS DUE TO SUMMER SCHOOL
Some students are required to attend summer school and may need to arrive late on select days. In these cases, students will be able to join in on the activities upon their arrival. If we are at a park in the immediate area, they can meet there.

BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Staff members will escort students across the street to P.S. 208 for breakfast daily. Students will have lunch there on local trip days only. On distance trip days, Sister Power will prepare and pack a lunch for each student.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES & RAINY DAYS
Activities will consist of board and card games, arts & crafts, cooking, summer academics, computers, cooking, music, and dance. These activities will take place 1 half of the day and the second half of the day students will travel to local parks for outdoor fun.

OUTDOOR TRIPS & ACTIVITIES
Outdoor fun will be volleyball, softball, soccer, jump rope, sprinklers, skate boarding, handball, and more. Local trips will usually be within walking distance to museum mile or various Central Parks. Distance trips will require subway travel to the zoo, theater, roller-skating, and movies, amusement parks and more.

HEALTH & EMERGENCIES
It is vital that each student have on file an emergency contact number, allergies and medical response information. Due to the fact that we are spending more time outdoors during these summer months, this information is IMPORTANT. We will carry this information at all times for immediate access. We must know of any medications your child needs.

CODE OF CONDUCT
Summer day camp has ZERO-TOLERANCE for disobedient and disrespectful behavior. Summer days are hotter and longer than school year days. It is vital that students listen and obey staff. After 2 warnings, students will be SUSPENDED the day following poor behavior.
